Community involvement works

Over the years many communities up and down the country have been successful in stopping their County Councils and District Councils from approving mining applications from large multi-national organisations. Common to all these campaigns has been the engagement and active involvement of the local community. If you want to stop open-cast mineral mines in the Vale of Evesham then you must get involved.

Doing nothing will not stop the quarries.

Write to our local MP

You can email Nigel Huddleston MP for Mid-Worcestershire by clicking here. If you wish to write your own concerns that would be great; the more people who write personally, the greater the impact. Please use the 'Arguments' tab at the top of this page or text from this suggested wording document to help you compose your letter.

Alternatively, you can click here to download a prepared letter in Microsoft Word.

Simply amend the details marked in red (Please remember to change the colour to black once you have done this!) and print the letter for posting.

Write to our local County Councillor

You can email Elizabeth Eyre, County Councillor for our parishes, by clicking here. Again, if you wish to write your own concerns that would have the biggest impact.
